Libraries as Social Hubs

The idea that libraries are meant for quiet reading time is dead.  Libraries have become valuable resources of technology, ideas and space. Communities and libraries were forward-looking enough to realize that change was necessary for relevance and saw the opportunities the library could provide by embracing technologies and becoming more of a social epicenter than, I think, anyone ever would have imagined a few decades ago.  And libraries are better for those changes, in my opinion, because libraries can be many things to many people now, instead of providing a few services to some members of the community.

Libraries aren't what they used to be!
