Hi Everyone,

I am sharing a YouTube video from Rutgers School of Communication and Information.   It portrays that libraries are a physical place for students to connect, interact and study.  In addition, libraries work alongside in the digital world where the amount of information being dispersed can become overwhelming.   It depicts librarians as “digital curators” discovering, organizing, and using information in an ethical manner.

Article Share: How Libraries Can Use Social Media to their Advantage

Blogs can be a great way to share what you're reading, whether on other blogs, news websites, or even social media. With many websites, the social share options can very with only a handful of the major social networks like Facebook or X to the many options, including those many haven't even heard of like Buffer. It's an easy way for these sites have their reader share to others what they find interesting, and it's an easy way for bloggers to share and comment about these articles on their own blogs.

The article I selected for this share is very relevant to our topic. Here is a link and an excerpt of an article from the Video Librarian site:

Updates to "Subscribe by E-mail Gadget"

 Hi everyone,

This past Sunday, I mentioned setting up the "Subscribe by E-mail Gadget." I set this up as a third party feature through Follow.It and used the embed HTML code to link it. Here, the reader can enter their e-mail address to subscribe and they can get the feed through e-mail or by logging on to Follow.It. 

Blogroll Added

 On the sidebar, I added a blogroll. This is essentially a list of blogs a blogger can link to on their site, indicating what blogs they read and connect with. The title for this gadget is Library 130 Blogs 2024 and so far, the Assistive Technology blog is linked. They are the only group other than ours that have posted a link to the blog in the sign-up list.
